Brujos outlast Varks 29 - 19, soar into sole possession of first place.
It was a long time coming. For some current members of the NM Brujos, a victory over crosstown rival Albuquerque Aardvarks was either a distant memory or the stuff of legend. No more. On a gorgeous Saturday afternoon in which spring seemed to be right around the corner, the NM Brujos played their most solid 80 minutes in recent memory, and seized control of the Rio Grand Rugby Union with a 29 to 19 victory over the Albuquerque Aardvarks at Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Field. The victory moved the Brujos to a 3 and 1 record for the 2018/2019 Rio Grande Rugby Season, leaving them in sole possession of first place with only two games remaining until the playoffs. The victory also earned them another tiebreaker point, to go with the one the earned in the fall season.
