On a gloriously rainy and overcast Saturday that more closely resembled early spring than the third weekend in June, the New Mexico Brujos threw a little pop up rugby party last weekend. Other than the NM Brujos, the Canon Air Force Base Commanders and El Paso Scorpions made the trip, and of course our crosstown buddies the ABQ Aardvarks were there. It was a day that saw members of every team play with and against one another. A day that was, in the words of one enthralled bystander, pure rugby. Our deepest gratitude to the Commanders and Scorpions for making the drive and to the Varks for coming out as well. Last Saturday truly was a rugby day. Gracias!
Up next for the NM Brujos is a trip to the Cowpie Classic in Steamboat Springs on July 6th.
Atomic Sisters host Women's Tournament Saturday!
The Atomic Sisters are excited to be partnering with Adedar Africa to host the Beauty and the Pitch 7s Tournament this weekend! This Saturday, June 29th, join the Sisters in Albuquerque for an all-women's tournament with high school and adult divisions. This tournament is a fundraiser to support Adedar’s mission of empowering grassroots organizations around the world increasing access to rugby for women and girls. Summer practice continues!
The New Mexico Brujos Summer season is in full swing so it's more important than ever to get out to practice!
NM Brujos Summer rugby practice is every Thursday at 6 PM at UNM Johnson Field, located at 2401 Redondo Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
New Players and all skill levels are always welcome! Cleats, mouthguard, and water very much recommended.

Wizardfest 2024 Tickets on sale now!
Put on your dancing cleats, it's time to celebrate! Join the New Mexico Brujos for the 2024 Wizardfest (AKA Rugby Prom), and celebrate the past year in Brujos rugby and honor the stand out players and dubious events that made the 2024 season one to remember. This year's ceremony will feature NM Brujos hall of fame inductions, player awards and more!
Once again this year's event is being held at our great sponsor Sobremesa Restaurant and Brewery located at 3421 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120
And thanks to generous donations from NM Brujos Old Boys there's a $2000 open bar!
