NM Brujos take 2nd at Flagstaff 10s, Santa Fe 50th in two weeks. Turkey Touch 22! Fall practice!

The New Mexico Brujos trip West last weekend was a good one that saw the team take second place in the social division at the Northern Arizona 10s tournament. Coming off a long break in rugby during which the team hadn't seen the field since the Santa Fe 10s in early September, the Brujos showed that practice really does pay off. The team got into the winning groove early with a 55 to 24 win over Tucson's Old Pueblo Lightning. They dropped their next match against Red Mountain 27 to 43, but finished strong against the tournament hosts, crushing the Landsharks (route) 66 to (I) 17, (that's an AZ interstate joke for those that missed it). The NM Brujos will look to carry this momentum into their next match with the Santa Fe Santos for their 50th anniversary celebration in two weeks, and then the High Desert Classic a week after that. Thanks to the Landsharks for the hospitality and a well run tournament, see y'all again next year!
